Biomass Heat Plants and Biomass Heat and Power Plants (CHP)

Biomasse - Heiz- und HeizkraftwerkePower plants using biomass as fuel to generate power play an important role in tomorrow’s energy supply.

Biomass comprises solid biomass such as forestry-derived wood residues, by-products from industrial wood working and processing or tree-cut from landscape conservation. There is a tendency towards renewable primary products. However, waste wood of the categories AI and AII, olive stones, straw, peelings, legumes and husks are also classified as biomass.

You will get an all-round service by Seeger Engineering AG when planning a biomass heat plant or a CHP. We accompany all planning steps starting with a first concept or feasibility study, followed by the preliminary and final design through to approval and implementation planning. These planning steps provide the basis for the tender documents of the different trades. We assist with contract placing, coordinate all people involved in the project (suppliers, authorities, experts etc.) and supervise the on-site execution of the project until commissioning of your individually designed plant.

SE AG is your perfect partner for the planning and realization of biomass plants regarding plants sizes ofapproximately 250 kW thermal output without power generation or plant sizes up to approximately 40 MW thermal output and up to approximately 20 MW electrical output. Have a look at our list of references and satisfy yourself of our know-how and experience.

The heat deriving from the power generation process is consequently used (CHP) to increase the power plant’s degree of efficiency. The heat is either fed in the district heating grid of large energy suppliers or used for industrial processes. The generated power is fed into the public power grid according the Renewable Energy Sources Act.

In order to be as profitable as possible, our plants are tailor-made taking the individual requirements of our clients into consideration. Each plant consists of various parts and components requiring different suppliers. It is our job to specify the plant parameters, to choose the best suppliers and to coordinate the single trades. In doing so, you will get a tailor-made plant with a maximum profitability.

Definition of Renewable Primary Products: Plants or parts of plants deriving from agricultural, forestry or horticultural businesses and landscape conservation, respectively. Besides, slurry and slop from agricultural distilleries fall in this category (Renewable Energy Sources Act).
